About The Position

This position is for an Adjunct Teaching role in the English Department, specifically to teach ENGL 495: Literary Studies Senior Capstone for Independent Study-University. The role involves providing timely and constructive feedback on student work, grading assignments within 7 days, and fostering a positive and inclusive online learning environment. The successful candidate will need to be proficient in using technology and learning management systems, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be organized and careful about time management. Additional assignments or contracts for curriculum development may be offered. The position requires the candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

Requirements

  • PhD in Literature, American Studies, or related field.
  • The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • College-level literature course instruction.
  • Minimum two semesters of teaching experience.
  • Proficiency in using technology and learning management systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized and careful about time management.
  • Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
  • Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.
