About The Position

This position involves teaching an undergraduate course, DESGD 243: Typography, as part of the Evening School program. The role requires adherence to department-approved curriculum, including lecturing, creating assignments, grading student work, conducting critiques, and responding to student emails. Part-time faculty are not obligated to hold office hours, attend staff meetings, serve on committees, or mentor students. The successful candidate must be willing to relocate to and reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

Requirements

  • BFA required.
  • Experience with communication with college-level students.
  • Experience with collaboration with colleagues in a collegial manner.
  • Efficient thinker with a unique and enthusiastic approach to helping students.
  • Must be completed by the start date.
  • Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
  • Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.
