About The Position

The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) is seeking an Adjunct (per course) Instructor for History. This position involves teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in History. Requirements

  • For undergraduate programs: Master’s degree or higher in History or a subfield. If the master's degree is in a different field, a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in History or a subfield is required.
  • For graduate programs: Terminal degree determined by the discipline, with a record of research, scholarship, or achievement appropriate for the graduate program.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in History.
  • Complete mandatory annual employee training, including Ethics, and Preventing Harassment & Discrimination.
  • For online courses, successfully complete the Building Digital Community (BDC) self-paced course during the first semester teaching online to be eligible for future online teaching.
