About The Position

The School of Education at the University of Illinois Springfield has occasional need for adjunct (per course) instructors. This role involves teaching courses within the School of Education, with specific requirements varying for undergraduate and graduate programs. Adjunct faculty are required to complete mandatory annual employee training, including Ethics, and Preventing Harassment & Discrimination. Those teaching online courses must complete the Building Digital Community (BDC) self-paced course during their first semester teaching online to be eligible for future online teaching assignments.

Requirements

  • For undergraduate programs: Master's degree or higher in the discipline or subfield; terminal degree preferred.
  • If holding a Master's degree or higher in a different discipline than applying to teach, must have completed a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline or subfield.
  • For graduate programs: Terminal degree determined by the discipline, with a record of research, scholarship or achievement appropriate for the graduate program.

  • Upload unofficial transcripts.

Responsibilities
