About The Position

This position involves providing instruction in assigned subject areas within the Welding Technology Program. The instructor will utilize a variety of instructional strategies suitable for classroom, online, hybrid, or lab settings, catering to diverse student needs. Responsibilities include preparing and administering evaluations, maintaining accurate student records, and assisting with data interpretation for department assessment. The role also emphasizes fostering a culture of belonging, ensuring all students, faculty, and employees feel welcomed, valued, and empowered. The instructor will support the college's policies on access, fair employment, and equal opportunities.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Welding Technology.
  • Two (2) years of welding experience related to the area of assigned instruction in the Welding Technology Program.
  • Must obtain CWE Certification or higher ( CWI ) within three (3) years of the employment date.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction to students according to the objectives of each course assigned.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies in the classroom, online, hybrid, or lab setting that are appropriate to individual student needs and may include, but are not limited to, lectures, small groups, demonstrations, and computer-assisted instruction.
  • Prepare and administer evaluation instruments and maintain accurate student records on attendance, achievement, and progress.
  • Assist in gathering and interpreting data for department assessment.
  • Support and promote an environment of belonging where all students, faculty members, and college employees feel welcomed, valued, and empowered to contribute.
  • Foster a community where each individual and their varied perspectives enrich the educational experience and create a safe and respectful environment.
  • Support the College’s policies and programming related to access, fair employment, and equal opportunities for all.
