Adjunct Instructor of Healthcare Administration
About The Position
The Healthcare Administration program at Methodist University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach courses at the bachelor’s level. Embedded within the College of Health Sciences and Human Services, the Healthcare Administration program prepares students for management and leadership careers across the health sector. Adjunct instructors are responsible for teaching online courses in curricular areas related to medical terminology, healthcare leadership, quality assessment and performance improvement, organizational behavior, economics and finance of healthcare organizations, disaster management, global health, conflict resolution, health insurance and managed care, cultural competence in healthcare and research methods.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Healthcare Administration or a related field
- Professional experience and expertise relevant to the course(s) to be taught
Nice To Haves
- Doctoral degree preferred
- Experience teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level preferred
- Experience teaching online and familiarity with Canvas Learning Management System preferred
Responsibilities
