History, Mildenhall, The Undergraduate School - Adjunct Faculty

University of Maryland Global Campus
•Onsite

About The Position

The University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is hiring an Adjunct Faculty member to teach History courses on-site in Mildenhall, United Kingdom. This position is for local applicants only; UMGC does not provide logistical support, and applicants must have and maintain their own legal status in the country where they teach. Candidates must be able to travel reliably to assigned work locations and perform on-site responsibilities. Adjunct faculty use UMGC’s pre-designed, standardized curriculum and provided course materials to mentor and support students, facilitate learning, provide feedback, and connect course content with professional experience. Courses may be delivered face-to-face, online (asynchronous and/or synchronous), hybrid, or by live-streaming, depending on location and program. Most courses run in accelerated eight-week sessions. The role requires substantial engagement throughout the term, supporting students’ academic success and their social, personal, and professional growth. UMGC provides newly hired faculty with online orientation and ongoing professional development. The university serves nontraditional learners worldwide, including a large military-affiliated population.
