About The Position
Covenant College’s Department of Art invites applications for an adjunct professor to teach one section of Type Design during the Spring 2026 semester. This introductory undergraduate studio course focuses on the history and design of typefaces, fonts, visual hierarchy, and layout. The college is an academically rigorous Christian institution emphasizing the liberal arts in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition. The course meets for six hours per week. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- Appreciation for and understanding of the mission of Covenant College.
- M.A. in a relevant field from an accredited institution or extensive art studio experience.
- Expertise in the subject area and appropriate technology.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach an undergraduate studio course on Graphic Design for six hours per week.
- Plan lessons and assignments.
- Grade assignments.
- Respond to student inquiries.
- Submit grades.
