About The Position
The Department of Geography, Planning, and Sustainability is seeking dedicated adjunct instructors to teach courses within their degree programs. These programs include a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Science, a Bachelor of Science in Community and Environmental Planning, a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental and Sustainability Studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Geography, and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning. A key feature of the department's programs is small class sizes that combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills, techniques, and career preparation. Courses may be delivered during the day, in the evening, online, or through mixed modalities, depending on curriculum needs and resource availability.
Requirements
- Master's degree
- Scholarly expertise or work experience in the proposed topics
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Not eligible for visa sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in topics served by the department's degree programs.
- Integrate disciplinary theory, practical skills and techniques, and career preparedness into course instruction.
Benefits
- Minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught
- Maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year
