Adjunct Faculty, Department of Communication Studies
About The Position
This is a general posting to create a pool of applicants for adjunct faculty openings throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. The Department of Communication Studies aims to engage students in meaningful, creative, ethical, and intellectually curious communication to enhance their personal and public lives and contribute to a sustainable common good. The department offers a BA and a minor in communication studies, and seeks adjunct instructors to expand its capacity. Classes are held in 10-week sessions. Adjunct instructors are needed to teach a variety of communication studies courses across the academic year, potentially teaching one or multiple courses. Teaching will primarily be in a fully in-person modality, including grading student work and meeting with students during office hours and via email.
Requirements
- M.A. in communication studies or related field
- Experience teaching communication studies courses at the university level

- Ph.D. in communication studies
