About The Position

The Department of River-Coastal Science and Engineering is seeking an Adjunct Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses. The role involves developing and delivering high-quality course content, providing student support, and adhering to university policies. Collaboration with faculty and staff is also expected.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in River and Coastal Sciences, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology, Oceanography, Hydrology, Geography, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the college or university level, or evidence of strong potential for effective teaching.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the Department of River-Coastal Science and Engineering.
• Develop and deliver high-quality course content using evidence-based instructional practices.
• Maintain regular communication with students and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments.
• Hold appropriate office hours and be available to support student learning and academic success.
• Adhere to departmental, school, and university policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with department faculty and staff as needed to support instructional and academic initiatives.
