About The Position
The Department of American Studies at the University of North Carolina seeks a scholar to teach one section of FOLK487, Everyday Stories: Personal Narrative and Legend. This advanced Folklore course examines legends and personal narratives to understand the techniques and structures that make them effective communication tools and the influence of different contexts and audiences. The successful candidate will develop the course syllabus and instructional materials, select reading assignments, and plan, administer, and evaluate research and writing assignments.
