Adjunct - AY27 Administration of Justice Instructor
About The Position
The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is seeking dynamic, motivated, and diverse candidates for part-time faculty positions to engage and educate students in Administration of Justice. This posting is to create a pool of qualified applicants for the 2027 Academic School Year. Successful candidates will collaborate, communicate, and work professionally with students, staff, faculty, and administrators. Applicants with a demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentoring a diverse student population are strongly encouraged to apply. Qualified applicants may be offered an interview with Administration of Justice Department members at one or more of LACCD’s 9 colleges. Final determinations of part-time assignments are contingent upon enrollment, funding, and class availability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field AND two (2) years of full-time related professional experience OR Associate’s degree in any field AND six (6) years of full-time related professional experience.
- Professional experience must be directly related to the teaching assignment.
- A sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
- Experience verification on letterhead stationery is required for vocational positions, showing inclusive dates of assignments, stating if full-time or part-time, and indicating duties. If part-time, the number of paid hours worked per week, semester, or year must be included.
- COVID-19 Vaccination: All employees are required to provide their vaccination status in compliance with the LACCD Board of Trustees’ policy.

- Demonstrated certification in Blackboard, Canvas, or Course Compass or other online modalities may be given preference.
Responsibilities
- Teach a range of courses within the Administration of Justice discipline.
- Promote engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning.
- Be culturally responsive in interactions with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
- Potentially conduct classes in a virtual learning environment using Canvas or other methods of remote learning.
Benefits
- Salary begins at $86.85 per standard hour.
- Office hour differential of $20.32 per hour for classroom assignments.
- Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential.
