Ad Sales Executive - Digital

LPi•Madison, WI
•Remote

About The Position

LPi is hiring a remote, new-business Ad Sales Executive focused on digital advertising. The role drives revenue by securing website sponsorships for sites serving churches and community organizations, connecting advertisers with trusted local audiences, and expanding sponsorships across LPi’s digital advertising solutions. The position offers the opportunity to build a pipeline and new business rather than manage a traditional territory of existing accounts, with company-generated leads, established community relationships, and independence in developing prospects and customer relationships. The successful candidate uses consultative, value-based selling to understand businesses’ goals and recommend relevant sponsorships and authorized digital solutions. The role manages the full sales cycle, maintains accurate CRM records, meets sales and pipeline expectations, identifies cross-selling opportunities, and shares customer and market feedback to help refine LPi’s offerings. Compensation is a $60,000 base salary plus uncapped commission, with target total annual compensation of $120,000. No travel is required.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of B2B sales experience, with demonstrated success prospecting, developing new business, and managing a sales pipeline.
  • Experience using a CRM to manage pipeline stages, record sales activity, track follow-up, and monitor sales opportunities.
  • Strong consultative, needs-based, and value-based selling skills, including discovery, presentations, negotiation, objection handling, and closing.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, listening, and presentation skills, including the ability to connect customer goals to relevant audiences and solutions.
  • Ability to organize prospecting and follow-up, prioritize opportunities, work independently, and maintain accountability for sales results.
  • Proficiency with computer-based sales and communication tools and the ability to learn LPi’s products, systems, and lead-generation resources.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in digital advertising, media, marketing, or a consultative sales environment.
  • Digital advertising knowledge, including the ability to explain digital sponsorship value, audience relevance, and advertising performance to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for and close website sponsorships, prioritizing unsponsored sites and new website opportunities to grow digital revenue.
  • Build and qualify a sales pipeline using company-provided leads, lead-generation tools and programs, referrals, targeted research, and independently developed prospect lists.
  • Lead consultative discovery conversations to understand business goals, marketing needs, and target audiences.
  • Recommend sponsorships and authorized digital solutions based on relevance, visibility, trust, and business value.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including discovery, proposals, negotiation, objection handling, and closing.
  • Sell on value and address concerns about price, timing, and relevance.
  • Develop advertiser relationships through consistent follow-up, prospect nurturing, and identifying additional sponsorship and digital growth opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of leads, account ownership, activities, opportunities, and pipeline stages, coordinating with Advertising Sales Executives to prevent overlapping outreach.
  • Meet sales and pipeline expectations following ramp-up, monitor progress and conversion rates, and review results and priorities with sales leadership.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across available digital advertising inventory and solutions.
  • Refer newly identified print advertising opportunities to the appropriate Advertising Sales Executive.
  • Provide feedback on customer needs, market response, and opportunities to refine LPi’s digital offerings and sales approach.
