About The Position

Globe Life is seeking an Actuarial Intern to support the Actuarial Department in driving sustainable growth and protecting the company’s financial solvency. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to data analysis, financial reporting, product pricing, and valuation, applying actuarial principles within a life and health insurance enterprise. This is an on-site position in McKinney, Texas.

The 10-week summer internship runs from June 7 through August 13, 2027. The program includes departmental projects and professional development, networking, leadership, volunteer, and social experiences.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Programming, or a related field.
• At least two years of coursework completed.
• An inquisitive and positive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with databases.
• Programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop dashboards that present financial results clearly and accessibly.
• Create exhibits from valuation data for filing with state departments.
• Test and validate valuation models for accuracy and reliability.
• Build and validate a pricing model for life insurance products.
• Create a profitability report derived from a pricing model.
• Price life insurance products using established actuarial methods.
• Analyze data, prepare financial reports, and present findings to the team.
