About The Position

The ratemaking team (Overall rate level, Ontario, Atlantic and Western regions) is seeking an Actuarial Advisor. The ideal candidate is eager to innovate and passionate about process optimization, and a skilled programmer looking to leverage their expertise to automate actuarial indication processes. This role offers a motivating work environment with a strong focus on development. More specifically, the position involves developing innovative automation solutions for actuarial indication processes, programming statistical models for automation, extracting and transforming databases to optimize data quality and efficiency, adapting existing automation solutions, planning and managing automation projects, and contributing to overall rate level analyses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Computer Science
• A minimum of five years of relevant experience, including significant experience with Python, R, or another scientific programming language
• French proficiency is required for postings in Quebec
• English proficiency is required, due to the nature of the tasks, tools and interactions with anglophone partners

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative automation solutions for our actuarial indication processes
• Program statistical models as part of the automation of these processes
• Extract and transform databases to optimize data quality and efficiency
• Adapt existing automation solutions
• Plan and manage automation projects
• Contribute to overall rate level analyses, depending on your interests
