About The Position

Signature HealthCARE of Chapel Hill is a 108-bed facility offering short-term rehabilitation, traditional long-term care, and other services. The organization focuses on resident-centered healthcare, personalized spirituality, and quality-of-life initiatives.

The Activities Staff member assists with planning and delivering activities that address residents’ social, emotional, physical, and therapeutic needs. The position may be full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate’s preference.

Requirements

• Skilled at working with individuals who have cognitive, physical, or sensory disabilities.

Nice To Haves

• Previous activities or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
• CNA certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities that meet residents’ social, emotional, physical, and other therapeutic needs.
• Assist in initiating and promoting activities within and outside the facility.
• Provide in-room activities for residents who cannot attend daily events.
• Assist in creating an ongoing calendar of activities.
• Meet state standards for activity scheduling and documentation.
• Involve the community in planning facility activities and events.
