Activities Leader
About The Position
Canterbury Woods is hiring a full-time Activities Leader for its Williamsville, New York campus. The position is 37.5 hours per week and serves residents on the Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care floors. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and every other Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a day off the week before and after the weekend shift. The hourly salary range is $16.00 to $17.00, with no travel required. Canterbury Woods is a continuing care retirement community offering independent living and a continuum of care. Requirements
- High school education level.
- Experience organizing, planning, promoting, and directing cultural arts activities is preferred.
- Experience working with a geriatric population is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Participate in community planning related to residents’ interests and needs.
- Coordinate transportation for trips and outings when necessary.
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the community.
- Participate in resident or group council meetings when requested and provide support services to those councils.
- Supervise programs as necessary.
- Encourage residents to participate in programs.
