Activities Leader
About The Position
Canterbury Woods is hiring a full-time Activities Leader to work on its Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care floors at the Williamsville Campus in Williamsville, New York. The position is 37.5 hours per week. Scheduled hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and every other Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a day off the week before and after each weekend worked. The role supports residents’ interests and needs by helping plan and run activities, encouraging participation, coordinating transportation for outings, and fostering a warm, calm, and positive community environment.

Responsibilities
- Participate in community planning related to residents’ interests and needs.
- Coordinate transportation for trips and outings when necessary.
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the community.
- Participate in resident or group council meetings when requested and provide support services to those councils.
- Supervise programs as necessary.
- Encourage residents to participate in programs.
