Activities Leader
About The Position
Lewisburg Healthcare Center, part of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is hiring full-time and part-time Activities Assistants. The position provides individualized activity care and services for residents and works as both a member of the activities department and an interdisciplinary team for assigned units. Activities staff encourage residents’ socialization and community involvement, helping turn the challenges of aging, rehabilitation, and recovery into positive experiences. The successful candidate is energetic, passionate, creative, gentle, responsible, and hardworking, and is comfortable working with people who may be confused.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior work or life experience; healthcare-setting experience is preferred.
- Basic computer literacy and skills.
- Active state driver’s license.
- Ability to plan, organize, and conduct a variety of activities.
- Must be gentle, responsible, hardworking, and comfortable working with confused people.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with related software applications.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting.
