About The Position
The Activities Assistant assists in the creation, planning, and implementation of the Connections program, the community’s daily activities for residents. The role supports residents’ leisure contentment and physical, mental, and psychological well-being. The position is full time, with a stated schedule of 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. every other weekend.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- At least 21 years old.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of older adults.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Gerontology, or another related field.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or service-related setting.
Responsibilities
- Enter resident information in multiple systems.
- Attend care plan meetings with families and residents.
- Collect resident profiles.
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the community’s Connections activity program.
