About The Position

Stedi is growing its Activation team to help customers integrate with its API-based healthcare clearinghouse and revenue cycle management engine. Customers’ initial months involve mapping use cases to APIs, testing submissions, interpreting responses, and reaching production volume. Activation Engineers serve as technical counterparts to sales and account management, supporting customers from their first integration call through full production volume. They also create demos, guides, and internal documentation to help customer-facing teams answer technical questions, and relay unmet customer needs to Product.

Requirements

  • Experience using and integrating APIs.
  • Familiarity with data formats and standards such as JSON, X12, and other flat file formats.
  • Proactive approach to identifying which customers need attention and when, including using customer data and ramp progress to anticipate needs.
  • Product mindset, with the ability to identify product gaps, articulate them to engineering and product teams, and ensure requirements address customer needs.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, with strong customer empathy and the ability to build credibility on technical product matters.
  • Resourcefulness, self-motivation, self-discipline, and willingness to put in the hours to get the job done.
  • Ability to manage many open threads while being responsive, organized, and thorough.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace, communicate progress, respond urgently to customers and internal stakeholders, and proactively seek help or feedback when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Subject matter expertise in revenue cycle management, or enthusiasm for learning it.
  • Experience working at an RCM company and understanding the healthcare technology revenue cycle, including eligibility checks, claim submissions, claim-status checks, and ERA reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical counterpart on pre-sale deals by qualifying opportunities, determining use case requirements, explaining the integration, and identifying product gaps.
  • Own technical design during proof-of-concept phases, establish use cases and requirements, clear blockers, and help customers test integrations and interpret results.
  • Coordinate payer list matching and run insurance discovery batch tests, then share and interpret results with customers.
  • Drive customers to expected transaction volume on the expected timeline by building migration plans, tracking actual volume against sold volume, and identifying and resolving root causes of processing errors.
  • Build internal materials that make new functionality sellable, including feature overviews, positioning and talk tracks, demos, best-practice writeups, and qualification criteria.
  • Answer functionality questions for the customer-facing team or find the appropriate person to do so.
  • Represent customers to Product by writing problem-focused one-pagers, shaping requirements, and co-owning a customer-driven feature backlog, including quantifying customer support for requests.
