About The Position

Kendall Hunt Publishing is seeking a driven Acquisitions Sales Representative to join their team. This role focuses on building relationships and exceeding goals within the higher education sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and sales skills to develop lasting partnerships with college professors. This is a remote position requiring approximately 7 weeks of overnight travel per semester, alternating between working from home and visiting college campuses. The position involves identifying business opportunities, interviewing professors, and persuading potential authors to partner with Kendall Hunt. The goal is to collaborate with talented educators in charge of lower-level, higher-enrollment courses to develop interactive and engaging educational materials that meet student needs and make a significant impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Acceptable driving record, in accordance with the company's corporate driving policy.
  • Takes initiative and works independently, demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Interview professors to identify business potential.
  • Persuade select candidates to work with the company by partnering with experts in their field.
  • Call on and travel to different colleges and universities in the territory.
