About The Position

Great River Learning (GRL) is seeking an Acquisitions Manager to identify business opportunities at colleges and universities and recruit professors to become GRL authors. The role focuses on educators who teach lower-level, higher-enrollment courses, with the goal of developing interactive, engaging, media-rich publications that may also be marketed nationally. The position is remote and covers a territory including Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. It requires eight weeks of overnight travel each semester to college campuses. Travel periods run from late August through late November and January through late April; during those periods, travel begins Sunday and concludes Friday, with campus meetings scheduled throughout the week. The Acquisitions Manager plans and schedules meetings, interviews professors to assess potential business opportunities, recruits selected candidates, and follows up with prospective and existing authors. The role also requires maintaining CRM notes and next steps for prospective, in-development, and existing publications so the employee and in-house team have the information they need. GRL is an established higher education company that develops publications integrating videos, animations, and interactive exercises.
