About The Position

This position performs Acoustic Emission (AE) and Ultrasonic (UT) testing in accordance with recommended inspection practices for pressure vessels used to distribute industrial gases. Testing covers pressure vessels (tubes) of various sizes and shapes mounted to containers and trailers. The work requires a high level of accuracy. Training is necessary and will be provided by Weldship, including training to operate a nitrogen high-pressure fill system.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of previous work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mathematical knowledge.
• Computer skills.
• Understanding and use of tools.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Receive trailers for retest.
• Understand work scopes and work orders.
• Prepare trailers for retest.
• Prepare test files and reports.
• Perform AE/UT testing.
• Understand and accept training to operate the nitrogen high-pressure fill system.
• Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with engineering, management, and production personnel to accomplish the testing process.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
