About The Position

Intertek is seeking an Experienced ACI Field Technician II to join their Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team in Tukwila, Washington. This role will involve working on a long-term WSDOT job in the Seattle area and offers an opportunity for career growth in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry. Intertek-PSI is a leading US-based provider of construction assurance, testing, and inspection services in civil and commercial construction, offering services such as construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. The ACI Field Technician II performs various testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or detailed controlled procedures.

Requirements

1 year construction material testing experience
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician—Grade I Certificate
Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record
Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills
Basic math, calculator, and computer skills
The ability to read and understand work plans
Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights
Ability to work over night hours and off shift

Responsibilities

Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (example: Soil, concrete, asphalt or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting
Work utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagrams
Use specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks
Make detailed observations, give limited interpretation, detailed documentation and data from test results
Communicate effectively with client and project teams
