About The Position

The ACE Production Worker primarily works in the outside production area of an AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange facility, processing 20-pound barbeque grill cylinders. The role focuses on safe, timely, and quality cylinder processing as part of a production team. The production area is not enclosed, so weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice, and snow may affect the workday.

The position pays $19.50 per hour. Applicants must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Employees in applicable safety-sensitive positions are subject to substance abuse testing under company policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow processes, procedures, and instructions.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a production team.
• Willingness to grow and learn.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per day; the posting also states the ability to stand for 8–10 hours per day.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
• Ability to obtain required state licensing.
• Ability to become forklift certified.
• Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of manufacturing work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, clean, paint, label, and refill empty cylinders.
• Maintain a safety focus and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure the consistent quality of cylinders being processed.
• Load filled cylinders onto trucks for the next day's shipments.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
