About The Position

The Production Worker primarily works in the outside production area of AmeriGas’s Cylinder Exchange facility and is responsible for processing 20-pound barbeque grill cylinders. The role focuses on safe, consistent cylinder processing and supporting shipment preparation. The production area is not enclosed, so weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice, and snow may affect the workday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow processes, procedures, and instructions.
• Ability to function effectively as a member of a production team.
• Willingness to grow and learn.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk 8–12 hours per day; the posting also states the ability to stand 8–10 hours per day.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
• Ability to obtain required state licensing.
• Ability to become forklift certified.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of manufacturing work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, clean, paint, label, and refill empty cylinders.
• Maintain a safety focus and wear proper personal protective equipment.
• Ensure consistent quality of cylinders being processed.
• Load filled cylinders onto trucks for the next day’s shipments.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
