About The Position

The ACE Production Worker primarily works in the outside production area of AmeriGas’s Cylinder Exchange facility, processing 20-pound barbeque grill cylinders. The role includes sorting, inspecting, cleaning, painting, labeling, and refilling cylinders; maintaining their quality; and preparing filled cylinders for shipment. The production area is not enclosed, so outdoor conditions such as wind, rain, ice, and snow may affect the workday. The role requires prolonged standing and walking and repeatedly lifting up to 50 pounds. The position pays $19.50 per hour. The company states that additional compensation may include eligibility for a performance-based bonus or sales commissions, depending on the position. Employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check; employees may also be subject to substance abuse testing under company policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow processes, procedures, and instructions.
• Ability to function effectively as a member of a production team.
• Willingness to grow and learn.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per day; the posting also states the ability to stand 8–10 hours per day.

• Ability to obtain required state licensing.
• Ability to become forklift certified.

Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, clean, paint, label, and refill empty cylinders.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment and maintain a safety focus.
• Ensure consistent quality of cylinders being processed.
• Load filled cylinders onto trucks for the next day's shipments.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
