About The Position
The Accounts Receivable Specialist manages customer payments, tracks account balances, and ensures past-due accounts are addressed. This role involves processing payments, helping customers and store managers with account questions, and maintaining accurate records to support the company’s financial operations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Customer service experience
- Good communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Nice To Haves
- accounts receivable experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Uphold safety and security of assets, customer data, account information, and company processes.
- Process and apply payments to customer accounts, including checks, ACH deposits, and credit cards.
- Monitor overdue accounts and take action to collect payments.
- Respond promptly to customer and store manager questions about balances or accounts.
- Process credit applications and set up new accounts.
- Keep customer files accurate and up to date.
- Assist with sending out monthly account statements.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
