The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of the company’s Revenue Cycle (Billing, Collections, and Cash Application). Supporting the Director of Finance Operations, you will lead the daily operations of the billing team to drive timely billing, implement process improvements, and drive the automation of workflows.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • 7+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience, with a strong background in high-volume billing and Accounts Receivable.
  • Proven experience in a Service-Based or Time & Materials (T&M) business model.
  • Experience working within a major ERP environment (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Workday).
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills with a proven track record of automating manual processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Must be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm, with the ability to deliver a high level of customer service.
  • Must be willing and able to work 100% on-site in Culver City, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and modernize billing operations by enforcing a rigorous weekly billing cadence across a large Time & Materials (T&M) portfolio, ensuring invoices are issued within one week of payroll close and eliminating backlogs to achieve and sustain a current billing cycle.
  • Oversee all revenue recording activities to ensure full compliance with US GAAP (ASC 606), maintaining strict controls around proper cutoff and accruals to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Manage the Accounts Receivable function by monitoring aging reports weekly to drive resolution of past-due accounts; prepare borrowing base calculations and collateral data for the company’s Asset-Based Line of Credit (ABL); and develop comprehensive cash flow models and forecasts to optimize liquidity.
  • Lead development and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures; identify bottlenecks and partner with technology to define automation requirements; and serve as a key stakeholder in the selection and implementation of a future ERP solution.
  • Lead, inspire, and cultivate a high-performing team of approximately 20 staff through hands-on mentorship, clear direction, and a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Develop and govern key performance indicators (KPIs) for the AR function (e.g., Billing Accuracy Rate, Days to Bill, Days in Unbilled Receivables) to drive data-driven decision-making and measurable outcomes.
