Accounts Receivable Manager - Full Time - Days
About The Position
The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of the entire department, including customer service, transaction entry, receptionist desk, refunds, billing, collections, and other support areas. This position directly manages the creation, monitoring, and execution of processes related to Patient Accounting functions. The Manager is also responsible for staff development, training, hiring, coaching, discipline, and performance management. Key processes within Patient Accounting include patient billing, insurance claims filing, insurance follow-up, self-pay follow-up, bad debt referrals, charity classification, and contractual adjustments. The effectiveness of the Manager directly impacts the performance of OakBend Medical Center's accounts receivables.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Two years of job-related experience.
- Computer literate.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing the operations of the entire department (customer service, transaction entry, receptionist desk, refunds, billing, collections, and other support areas).
- Creating, managing, and monitoring processes associated with Patient Accounting functions.
- Developing and administering staff development, training, hiring, coaching, discipline, and accountabilities associated with job performance.
- Ensuring process compliance by staff.
- Managing key processes within the Patient Accounting area: patient billing, insurance claims filing, insurance follow-up, self-pay follow-up, bad debt referrals, charity classification, and contractual adjustments.
