About The Position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a key role in driving cash collections on open accounts receivable by partnering closely with internal collections teams and supervisors. This role focuses on sending customer statements and invoices, resolving disputes, and supporting accurate cash application to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.

Requirements

  • Experience in finance, accounting, accounts receivable, or collections
  • 1+ year of analytical experience working with data and discrepancies
  • 1+ year of AR, credit, collections, billing, or cash application experience (or equivalent exposure)
  • SAP experience preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Recent Accounting/Finance graduates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Partner with collectors and collection supervisors to drive cash collections for open AR
  • Send customer statements and invoices accurately and on time
  • Support end‑to‑end dispute resolution related to accounts receivable
  • Research and resolve trade surcharge disputes
  • Pull and review Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation as needed
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to resolve pricing issues
  • Work with credit teams to resolve cash application discrepancies
  • Track and follow up on disputes to ensure timely resolution
  • Provide professional support for customer inquiries related to invoices and account status
  • Monitor open AR and escalate issues when appropriate
  • Perform basic analysis to identify discrepancies and trends
