Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Specialist
About The Position
WeatherTite Windows is seeking an Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable (AR/AP) Specialist to manage the daily financial operations related to customer payments and vendor invoices. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate bank reconciliations and contributing to the company's goal of a five-day month-end close. The position offers an opportunity to influence and improve processes as the company transitions towards digital workflows. The AR/AP Specialist will work closely with a collaborative accounting team and report directly to the Controller, while also partnering with other departments to ensure financial accuracy.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of AR/AP experience.
- Proven ability to manage high transaction volume: 20+ payments and approximately 50 total invoices per day.
- Adaptable and solution-focused, comfortable learning new systems and helping move manual processes toward digital, automated workflows.
- Strong Excel skills for reconciling data across multiple systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in reconciliations.
- High energy needed to handle high volume.
Nice To Haves
- Construction industry or related field experience of 3 or more years.
- Sage Intacct experience.
- Experience with AI powered AP platforms such as Ramp or Bill.com.
Responsibilities
- Enter 20 to 30 AR payments per day across MarketSharp and Sage Intacct.
- Process customer payments and address account inquiries via phone (10+ calls per day).
- Create and complete deposit and job invoices daily.
- Reconcile all entered payments to the bank daily.
- Process 30+ accounts payable invoices per day from email into Ramp.
- Verify GL coding on all expenses and confirm coding assigned by Ramp.
- Process all credit card payments in Ramp and sync them to Sage Intacct.
- Participate in month-end close by ensuring accurate entry and reconciliation of customer payments and revenue.
- Reconcile vendor balances monthly.
- Verify all AR payments and customer balances at month-end.
- Tie out revenue earned in the CRM and Sage Intacct.
