About The Position

Advion, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Accountant to own the day-to-day Accounts Receivable process for North America while supporting month-end close, reconciliations, sales tax compliance, and audit readiness. This role combines AR operations (invoicing, cash application, collections support, and customer account reconciliation) with broader accounting responsibilities, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, plus 3–5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable operations, reconciliations, cash application, and collections support.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and accounting software; JD Edwards experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process customer invoices and support collections efforts.
  • Reconcile AR balances and resolve customer account discrepancies.
  • Process cash receipts and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Review warranty activity and support accrual analysis.
  • Prepare and file state sales tax returns.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Cash Management, Sales, Customer Service, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations; support the monthly close process.
  • Create and maintain routine and ad hoc financial reports using JD Edwards and Excel-based reporting.
  • Analyze financial data flows, identify issues, and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist with annual audit procedures and provide required documentation.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
