Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years in Accounts Payable (A/P) or higher Finance & Accounting role preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree may substitute for 4 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
  • Prioritize invoices according to according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
  • Review and verify invoices and check requests.
  • Set invoices up for payment.
  • Enter and upload invoices into the system, ensuring proper recording of invoices according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Audit and process credit card bills.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  • Prepare and perform check runs.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
  • Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks, and distribute checks accordingly.
  • 1099 maintenance.
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in month end closing.
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with OneLegacy policy and accepted accounting practices.
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits.
  • Assist with other projects as needed.
  • Produce reports as needed or requested.
  • Copy and distribute pertinent information to managers and/or staff.
  • Attend meetings as required and participate on committees as directed.
