As an Accounts Payable Specialist at Granger, you’ll play a key role in supporting the financial operations that keep our projects moving forward. From processing invoices to supporting payroll and maintaining accurate records, your work ensures efficiency, compliance, and strong financial stewardship.

Requirements

  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience in accounts payable or general accounting support (construction industry experience is a plus)
  • Understanding of payroll processes, taxes, and related regulations (strongly preferred)
  • Experience working with PDF tools and document management systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to problem-solve effectively
  • A high level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
  • Solid business acumen and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured and organized way

Nice To Haves

  • construction industry experience is a plus
  • Understanding of payroll processes, taxes, and related regulations (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support of the accounts payable function, including invoice receipt, scanning, processing, verification, and payment
  • Review and process employee expense reports accurately and timely
  • Respond to lien-related inquiries and support compliance documentation
  • Maintain organized records through document management, filing, and scanning
  • Serve as a backup to payroll processing, including training alongside the Payroll Processing Manager and stepping in as needed
  • Support additional accounting and administrative tasks in partnership with the CFO and Controller
  • Contribute to process improvements and help maintain efficient, accurate workflows
