About The Position

Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. This role is crucial for ensuring timely vendor and team member disbursements and supporting the finance department's overall objectives. The position involves processing accounts payable, managing vendor setups, preparing financial entries, and responding to inquiries, all while upholding ADF's mission to protect religious freedom, free speech, and other fundamental rights. The role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, office administration, or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Concur or other expense reporting platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices and internal payment requests to vendors, reviewing for accurate coding, completeness, and proper authorization.
  • Research and resolve any discrepancies in invoices.
  • Process payments, including checks and electronic fund transfers.
  • Properly set up vendors and maintain vendor records within the Accounts Payable System.
  • Prepare general ledger entries and assist in the month-end close process.
  • Respond to Accounts Payable inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
  • Code domestic and international expense reports related to ADF's Corporate Credit Card Program.
  • Ensure accuracy and adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with ongoing maintenance of the Corporate Credit Card Program, including team member setup, password resets, limit adjustments, fraud monitoring, new card ordering, and updating account codes and approvers.
