About The Position

Merakey is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Team Lead to support the accounts payable function by serving as a subject matter expert and key point of contact for complex accounts payable tasks. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible under general supervision for the cost efficient and timely processing of check request, purchase order, and expense payments. The Accounts Payable Specialist will report to the Accounts Payable Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required or Associates or Bachelors Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • 2-3 years of Accounts Payable experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Must be able interact with others and work as part of a team
  • Highly organized, analytical thinker, good oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge with Great Plains, Concur and/or Workday experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that payments have followed the preset approvals necessary for the payments and maintain the proper records for transactions processed.
  • Maintain good vendor and departmental relations by responding to vendor and departmental request to provide information and help in resolving payment issues as they occur.
  • Process expense payments and payments of Purchase orders and Check request through AP CONCUR.
  • Ensure and verify proper approvals are documented before payments are made.
  • Assist in Special Projects that encompass Accounts payable information with flexibility to support onsite as needed.
  • Run reports that will provide assistance to vendors and those for Internal Departments.
  • Track the Timeliness of transactions in AP Concur.
  • Perform necessary research with complex transactions for vendors or Internal to the department.
  • Assist established and new users with AP Concur.
  • Maintain Vendor Setup for existing vendors and new vendors with a W-9 (as assigned) and assist as needed with vendor data collection.
