This role directly impacts Maverik’s financial accuracy, vendor relationships, and compliance standards by ensuring payments are processed correctly, documentation is complete, and reporting requirements are met.

Requirements

1+ years of relevant experience
Knowledge of accounts payable functions, with experience with multiple systems highly valuable
Experience with MS Office including Excel skills

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in relevant field preferred

Responsibilities

Ensure accurate payment processing, including but not limited to verifying Federal ID numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payment discrepancies and documentation, ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos, issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments
Ensure proper supporting documentation (e.g. purchase order, approved and reconciled invoices/vendor statements, etc.) exists for all payments
Verify expense reports and audits the reports to ensure compliance with Travel & Entertainment policy
Assist with compliance of 1099 reporting and preparation
