About The Position

As an Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk, you’ll bring your accuracy, organization, and problem-solving skills to daily financial operations that help keep our projects and teams moving forward. You’ll be part of a collaborative accounting team that values initiative, precision, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a high-volume environment; experience in a private-sector professional services organization is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • The ability to work with accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • A College Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with digital AP systems or workflow automation.
  • Prior exposure to tax treatment, expense allocation, or audit preparation in an AP setting.

Responsibilities

  • Processing high volumes of vendor invoices using our electronic AP system, including uploading and validating digital invoice files.
  • Managing the electronic approval workflow to ensure invoices are properly routed and verified.
  • Reviewing invoices for accuracy, correct expense allocation, tax treatment, and compliance with company policies.
  • Responding to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintaining and updating vendor records and related documentation.
  • Providing backup support for employee expense processing and reimbursement.
  • Maintaining accurate AP records with a focus on audit readiness and retention.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to digital workflows and AP automation.
  • Performing daily transactions, month-end procedures, and general administrative duties for the Accounting department.
  • Completing other tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
