Accounts Payable Associate
About The Position
Varco Pro Supply is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate. The successful candidate must be able to work in our Akron, OH office. This is NOT a remote work position. The role involves accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. The associate will need to learn products and support customers as needed, assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements. They will also perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested, work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end, and perform all necessary journal and system entries. Any issues which may impact business operations should be escalated.

- Strong dedication to driving and achieving results
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest accounting methodologies and technologies

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent and stressful situations
Nice To Haves
- Accounts Payable Experience or Coursework
- 1+ years of accounting experience or education preferred
- Experience with Quick Books Online and bill paying services such as Bill.com a plus
- Experience with other financial systems is a plus
