About The Position

Nucor Steel-Hertford County is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to review, verify, and enter vendor invoices into accounts payable systems. The role involves researching and resolving invoicing and receiving discrepancies with vendors, teammates, requestors, and purchasing teams. The successful candidate will accurately maintain required documentation and promptly and professionally follow up on job-related correspondence. The position also requires providing exceptional customer service with a positive attitude when interacting with vendors and Nucor teammates. Safety is emphasized, and the teammate is expected to uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. The posting may close before November 11, 2026, if a set number of qualified applicants is reached.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or two years of accounts payable, accounting, or related experience.
• Experience processing invoices, payments, and vendor transactions.
• Experience using accounting, ERP, or financial software systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience reconciling accounts, researching discrepancies, or performing other accounting-related analysis.
• Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Five or more years of work experience in an Accounts Payable or Accounting department.
• Associate degree in finance or accounting.
• Manufacturing accounting experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with Oracle.
