About The Position

This position performs a variety of accounting tasks, such as accounts receivable and accounts payable, general ledger bookkeeping, payroll tasks and bank statement reconciliation.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Accounting or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Perform reconciliations for bank statements and financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Enter and process vendor invoices.
  • Enter and maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Generate and review accounts receivable aging reports.
  • Collaborate with customer service representatives to follow up on past due accounts and support collection efforts.
  • Enter payroll-related data and assist with bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Support nonprofit financial processes by entering and tracking receipts, accounts payable transactions, and outgoing payments.
  • Process sales and use tax to vendor invoices in accordance with state-specific regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with audit preparation, financial reporting, regulatory reporting as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and cross-functional accounting tasks.
  • Provide administrative and front office support as needed.
  • Other assigned duties.
