About The Position

As a full time Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions among other general accounting assignments. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for communicating directly with customers, posting payments to customer accounts, sending statements, and resolving any issues that may arise in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for entering bills, obtaining authorization of payments from various departments, and preparing payment runs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
  • 2-5+ years related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Products Including Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Understanding of General ERP Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all accounts payable functions, including preparing A/P checks, printing all A/P reports and maintaining A/P files, routing invoices for approvals and checking and approving all vouchers for payment.
  • Assist with all accounts receivable functions, including posting customer payments, sending customer statements, responding to customer inquiries, investigating billing issues, reviewing customer aging balances, collections, and setting up new customers in the system.
  • Support the finance and sales team on special requests and projects as needed.
  • Organize email inboxes and respond quickly to customers and vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
