About The Position

The Accounting Methods Senior Associate serves as a firmwide resource for accounting methods matters and works on a wide range of issues and projects. The position may be based at any Eide Bailly office or worked from home, with remote, hybrid, or in-office arrangements available. The role provides consulting on accounting method issues, supports client project delivery and tax filings, conducts technical research, manages deadlines and workflows, and communicates with clients and colleagues. It also includes creating and presenting technical training and producing marketing and thought leadership materials on accounting methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Have or be actively pursuing a CPA license or JD.
• At least 3 years of public accounting experience, including accounting methods experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• High ethical standards and ability to maintain client confidentiality.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide consulting services on accounting method issues, including automatic and non-automatic accounting method changes, inventory, revenue recognition, capitalization, cost recovery, and accounting periods.
• Assist with managing and delivering client projects, including reviewing and analyzing client data and preparing calculations, supporting documents, and IRS filings.
• Perform tax technical research to support tax advice.
• Manage client deadlines and workflow for multiple internal and external parties.
• Interact professionally and discreetly with internal and external clients.
• Develop and present technical training materials for internal and external clients on accounting method issues and technical developments.
• Produce marketing and thought leadership materials on accounting methods topics and opportunities for internal and external distribution.
