Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
  • Minimum of 3+ years of accounting/finance experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting
  • Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Manage and develop a high-performing accounting team
  • Maintain and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to minimize risk
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements including profit and loss, balance sheets, and other reports
  • Monitor budgets, expenditures, and overall financial performance across departments
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to leadership and providers to support business decisions
  • Collaborate with external auditors and support annual audits and 401(k) audits
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local reporting and tax requirements
  • Assist with payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Support financial reporting and accounting for subsidiary entities
  • Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals
