Requirements

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Effective communication skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
Minimum of 3+ years of accounting/finance experience required

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) preferred

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting
Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support decision-making
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Manage and develop a high-performing accounting team
Maintain and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to minimize risk
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements including profit and loss, balance sheets, and other reports
Monitor budgets, expenditures, and overall financial performance across departments
Lead month-end and year-end close processes
Provide financial analysis and insights to leadership and providers to support business decisions
Collaborate with external auditors and support annual audits and 401(k) audits
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local reporting and tax requirements
Assist with payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
Support financial reporting and accounting for subsidiary entities
Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff
Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals
