About The Position

A summer intern will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the department. This role involves shadowing members of the Finance department, learning to compile and analyze data, track information, and support accounting and finance office operations. The intern will also gain experience with the company ERP system, assist with financial reporting, and work with various departments on capital expenditure tracking and cost-saving initiatives. Additionally, the intern will contribute to profit modeling and undertake research projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Shadowing members of the Finance department as they perform their duties
• Learning to work as part of the team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support company’s accounting and finance office operations
• Learning about and utilizing the company ERP system
• Assisting with financial reporting via data entry & variance analysis
• Working with various departments across the organization to improve & maintain capital expenditure tracking
• Facilitating cost savings by helping team understand the cost of asset acquisition vs. leasing
• Assisting with profit modeling by helping identify the variable costs of the business
• Various research projects and other duties as assigned by manager
