About The Position

The Accounting Intern gains practical business, accounting, and financial training and is introduced to the Business Management Training program, which prepares participants to manage their own financial operation. The role offers exposure to financial management and the accounting procedures and principles used in business operations. This is a summer internship based at the Pittsburgh Area Administrative office at 4489 Campbells Run Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15205. The internship is scheduled to run from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027, at $19.00 per hour for a 40-hour workweek.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be enrolled full time for the upcoming semester in a college or university bachelor's degree program in Accounting or Finance.
Expected graduation date must be between August 2027 and May 2028.
Must be able to start orientation on May 17, 2027.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on the driving record in the past three years.
No drug- or alcohol-related convictions on the driving record in the past three years, such as DUI/DWI.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require current or future work authorization sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing financial statements and analyses.
Work closely with rental branches and other departments.
Assist accounting managers with reports and related tasks.
Participate in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, cash receipts, and petty cash.
Assist with accounting schedules and filing.
Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as needed.
