About The Position

The Accounting Intern will receive real-world business, accounting, and financial training and be introduced to a Business Management Training program designed to prepare participants to become Business Managers responsible for managing a financial operation. The role provides exposure to accounting procedures and principles, including accounts payable and receivable, financial statement preparation, and analysis. The internship is based at the Pittsburgh Area Administrative office at 4489 Campbells Run Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15205. It runs from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027, at $19.00 per hour for a 40-hour work week. Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Accounting or Finance and have an expected graduation date between August 2027 and May 2028.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Be enrolled full time for the upcoming semester at a college or university in a bachelor's degree program in Accounting or Finance, with an expected graduation date between August 2027 and May 2028.
Be able to start the orientation class on May 17, 2027.
Have basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Have a valid driver's license, with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on the driving record in the past three years.
Have no drug- or alcohol-related convictions on the driving record in the past three years, such as DUI/DWI.
Be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing financial statements and analyses.
Work closely with rental branches and other departments.
Assist accounting managers with reports and related work.
Participate in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, cash receipts, and petty cash.
Assist with accounting schedules and filing.
Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as needed.
